IRender nXt Libraries

Load ArMaterial.jpg

The IRender nXt Libraries of plants and materials are only available to clients who purchase IRender nXt

The Libraries contain:

  1. AR3 materials converted to nXT .ArMaterial file format.
(Many of these materials have been completely recreated for nXt.)
  2. New .ArMaterial files created for nXt.
  3. AR3 Trees and Plants
(These still work well with nXt.)
  4. New nXt Trees
    (Created with RpTreeMaker)
  5. Additional HDRi skies for use with IRender nXt

When you purchase IRender nXt you will receive information on how to download the library. See: Downloading nXt Libraries below.

Downloading nXt Libraries

To download and install the latest libraries:

  1. click: Downloads Page,
  2. Enter you name and email address and proceed to the download page, and
  3. Select IRender nXt Libraries from the right of the first row of downloads.

This download contains:

  1. New nXt Materials
  2. Older AccuRender Materials converted to nXt format
  3. New nXt Plants and Trees
  4. Older AR4 Plant and Tree Library
  5. HDRi Skies for the second and additional tabs on the HDRi Setup dialog

Material Libraries

There are more than 5,000 materials in the nXt Material library.

You can select any material from the library and place it on a SketchUp face to create a similar SketchUp material.

In many cases the SketchUp material is an approximation of the full fractal material which will be created when you render the model.

Download the Libraries and install them on your computer.

Materials in .ArMaterial library

The Material Libraries contain AccuRender AR3 libraries converted to nXt (.ArMaterial) format as well as new materials created for nXt.

Solid Materials
Some of these materials are "Solid" - such as the solid wood materials - which don't repeat and work better with sculpted surfaces.

Arroway Sample Materials

Arroway Material Library

Arroway has made about 100 lo-res versions of their texture available to IRender nXt users and wehave converted these into .Armaterial materials in the IRender nXt Libraries. Arroway is providing these sample textures in the hopes that you will like them well enough to purchase the hi-res versions.

Load ArMaterial.jpg

To access these libraries:

  1. Load the Material Functions dialog from the toolbar. ( New matl24.PNG )
  2. Select Load from Library... to open the library of nXt Materials.
  3. Select the category and material desired.
  4. Turn on thumbnails in the browser if you want to see samples of each material as you load it.
  5. After selecting a .ArMaterial file, the image will appear and the size of the SketchUp texture it will generate.
  6. Click Create and Place to create a SketchUp material and place it on surfaces.
  • Edit .ArMaterial - loads the material into the Advanced material editor to make changes.
(Changes made will be applied only to the material you are creating in SketchUp, and not to the .ArMaterial in the library.)
  • Reset Paths - resets the default User and Library paths for selecting materials.

Plant Libraries

About 30 new RpTreeMaker plants.

The are in addition to the more than 500 plants in the old AR3/AR4 plants which also work with IRender nXt.

These are 'fractal' plants - meaning that detail is relative to the resolution of your image. Each plant is generated differently which automatically creates a realistic effect when using multiple instances of the same plant.

Create SketchUp components to represent IRender nXt plants. These are then automatically rendered as 'fractal' plants.

These plants are also available from the 3D Warehouse: IRender Plants

These libraries are stored in the nXt_Materials folder in your Libraries folder.

To access these libraries:

  1. Select Create Plant from the IRender nXt Toolbar: New plant24.PNG
  2. Select Load from Library... to open the library of nXt Plants.
  3. Turn on thumbnails if you want to see samples of each material as you load it.
